Why Bellwork Matters
A lot of gaps don't show up until it's too late to do much about them. The fix is a quick daily check, but building one from scratch every day isn't realistic on top of everything else.
That's why every Math Beach middle school lesson includes bellwork with both pieces already built in: a warm-up to open class and an exit ticket to close it.
This means you can start and end every class with a quick check that’s ready to print or display.

Warm-up: Catch gaps in prerequisite knowledge during the warm-up so you know how deep you need to go during the lesson to fill those gaps

Why I Built It This Way
A daily warm-up and exit ticket is one of those things every teacher knows they should do, but it's usually the first thing to get skipped when time runs short. Building it into every lesson means you can slip it into your routine without having to invest prep time into making it happen.
